Went down to the club again last night, we did opening the guard again from standing up but slightly differently and a cross knee pass then rolled for a bit. Got to roll with the instructor he's a big guy and a judo brown belt so he was pretty hard to handle but a good training partner. Going to watch a comp this evening, theres some mma and grappling but with traditional jiu jitsu rules so they're allowed heel hooks and all sorts of nasty things even at the lower levels. Ouch!

Yea maybe, I was talking to a guy tonight who said there are a few comps coming up in the next month so I'll see what the score is. Have to get back to competing now I'm injury free and the PhD is done. I was training with your old mate Jurgen Putter tonight, small world eh? He's a nice guy, the club I'm at is just down the road from his so I'm gonna go roll with them guys as often as I can as well.

Wow you were rolling with Jay???
He is one strong dude and he has a very dangerous and technical guard game. I'm sure he has come on leaps and bounds since he trained with me back in 2004.

Give him my best (and then choke him out!!!)
